isaiah 41:10
A few weeks after finding out about Liam’s diagnosis, I felt like I needed a physical reminder that God was with me. In my heart I knew he was, but I needed to see it. A constant reminder that I wasn’t alone.
Isaiah 41:10 says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I had always been familiar with this verse, but it took on a whole new meaning when I needed it most. Naturally, we would just say “Liam strong,” when thinking of this verse. The baby boy that would eventually beat so many medical odds, showed us how strong he was. Jesus was strong for us when we physically had nothing left. As Liam’s parents, we wanted to be strong for him. We wanted to enjoy every minute we could with him on this earth. We had these bracelets made for us to help get us through the long days, the numerous doctors appointments, for when we needed strength to go in public. Eventually, our entire family + friends would support us by wearing these bracelets too.
