Keith and I have had our baby names picked out for quite awhile. Honestly, “our boy name” we’ve had since we we dated in high school and when we found out we were pregnant we still wanted “our boy name” if it was a boy.

However, after we found out our sweet baby’s diagnosis, I told Keith that this baby deserves an even more special name. One with meaning. One that was descriptive of our baby in just a few words. He agreed. “Our boy name” just simply didn’t fit anymore. When we found out it was a boy, we named him “William Bennett Shamblin.” William meaning “strong warrior” and Bennett meaning “blessed.” He is the definition of the strongest warrior we know and has blessed us more than words could express.

Our sweet Liam - you have changed our lives forever. You will always be my first baby and my baby boy. It is the greatest honor of our lives to be your mommy and daddy. We love you with everything we have.
